Pilsen – visit to Pilsner Urquell brewery #video

The fact that the Czechs are famous for their beer does not need to be proved to anyone. The Mecca for this product in the Czech Republic is certainly Pilsen, where the most popular type of beer in the world was invented – light, filtered Pils. And that is the place where the most famous Czech beer – Pilsner Urquell – was brewed from 1842 until today.

The city of the beer

Pilsen is located in western Bohemia. You can get there from Poland easily and quickly by keeping to expressways and highways through Prague or deviating from the highways, slowly moving through mountainous and forest areas, bypassing the capital of our southern neighbors. A visit to the Pilsner Urquell brewery is a very interesting proposition. We will make a journey there, where history and modernity are mixed together. We will see exhibitions of precious souvenirs, take a look at the bottling plant, look deep into the brewing pot and even go down to the cool cellars of the brewery.

Pilsner Urquell – but not only!

However, it is not only in the brewery that we will have the opportunity to hear the beer history of Pilsen. An interesting option is also to visit the local brewery museum and the undergrounds of the city. Being on the market, it is impossible not to see St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral. From its tower, you can see the beautiful panorama of the city. All this and maybe a little more I present in the following video report. I encourage you to take a look at it.
